the snake
Lately I have seen more snakes than I have seen in all my time put together in Zambia.
Today we visited a feeding program in the community and saw something that very much resembled a turd, but was in fact a snake that was just inches from the foot of the person I was talking to.
Armed with a small broom and a stick, two of the older boys (maybe 12 years old) brushed the snake outside to beat it to death.
