disney's inspiration

Sometimes I think that Africa is like a Walt Disney movie. The trees seems to have so much personality, like they have stories to tell.

The crickets, praying mantis, stick bugs and all of the other and bugs can be ginormous and sing to beat the band - often at night it sounds like there are wooden wind chimes blowing in the breeze, but it is only the live orchestra lulling us to sleep.


The birds are generally more colourful and vibrant than at home. They chirp away and swoop in the windows checking for crumbs, sometimes even hanging out with you for a while.
