family

My cousin, Carmen, and her husband, Eric, are here in Zambia as they have come with a team from Canada to visit Buseko and Grace Academy. It is so nice to have family here and introduce them to everyone.

We had them over for dinner on Friday night for a typical Zambian dinner of fried chicken, butter chicken, avocado salsa, chapattis, rice and a papaya fruit salad (papaya grown in the backyard) for dessert. . .okay perhaps not so typically Zambian, but it was great. So, in order to make the experience truly Zambian, the water was off, and just as we were finishing dinner the power went out.

Good times were had by all!

I’m glad that they were able to experience a little glimpse of life, Zambian style.
