How often do we say that we need a new pair of shoes? If you are like many of us and have an affinity for shoes, it might be fairly often, but do you really need them?


These shoes belonged to one of the children that lives in the community; she walks 30 minutes to and from school each day in these shoes. If anybody needs new shoes, I think she does.

She doesn’t complain and she doesn’t ask for new shoes. She is just grateful to have shoes to walk to school in, and grateful for the opportunity to go to school.

And, yes, she did receive some new shoes.
