The kids love to cook and bake here. Sometimes it is hard to bake with all 85 kids at the same time, so Saturday we decided to have a cooking demonstration in the cafeteria so all of the kids could watch. We made sushi and haystacks.
Sushi in Bemba means fart so some of the kids were very hesitant to eat "farts," but many of the kids loved their piece of sushi and were very happy to have seconds.
And for a sweet treat, we had chocolate haystacks made with peanuts and pretzels (have pretzels always been so tasty or is it just because I haven't had them in months?).
